Crosspoint has many local mission activities. "Hands-on" Mission Projects allow people to reach out to others in Christian love and minister to various needs in the community and the world. Some mission projects are sponsored by members or groups in the church and others are community projects where our members have become involved. We support several local missions such as Sumter United Ministries, Sumter Pregnancy Center, Samaritan House, and Christian Charities through our budget and our time.
Crosspoint follows the scriptural mandate of Acts 1:8—“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Seeking to be diligent in each of these areas, we equip and nurture the faith of our own members while also seeking to reach the lost in our local community. We are currently supporting the Send Strategy of the North American Mission Board in our partnership with church planting in Atlanta. Our desire is to answer God’s call in 2015 as it is confirmed either in London, Tajikistan, India or the Philippines.

Local Mission: Companion at Carter Mill
Companion is an apartment complex just down the road from here and we have decided, as their local church, to be intentional about serving their community. We have begun building relationships through 2 events this year the first being a Easter Egg hunt and then our latest was a Pool opening cookout. |
