Dan
Nichols -
Associate Pastor ext 224 - dan@crosspointsumter.org
Dan
Nichols has been the Associate Pastor to Families at Crosspoint
Baptist Church since June 2003. Dan is married to Shannon Nichols.
They were married in August of 1996 and have three children:
Katelyn, Sarah Grace, and Stephen. Other than Jesus (and the Word of
God), his family is his greatest passion! He also enjoys music
(especially playing guitar), the outdoors (hiking, hunting and
fishing, camping), and has a special passion for coming along side
of men as they grow in their roles of husband and father (since
he’s admittedly still growing as well!).
Dan
grew up in North Carolina, attended N.C. State University (where he
met Shannon), and lived in KY for a couple of years before coming to
SC in 1997. He attended Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, KY),
and Columbia International University (Columbia, SC). Dan originally
spent time in youth ministry settings, but over time that role has
expanded to include additional aspects of ministry including
community ministry, local and foreign missions, worship leading, and
church administration. However, no matter the setting, families
capture Dan’s attention, realizing the commands of God for
discipleship to take place in the home, as well as the incredible
blessings that come from spiritually healthy marriages and families.
Dan is also passionate about seeing churches work together as a body
of Christ, realizing that God is at work beyond the four walls of
the local church.
