Pastor ext 224 - dan@crosspointsumter.org
Dan
Nichols has been the Associate Pastor to Families at
Crosspoint
Baptist
Church
since June 2003. Dan attended
N.C.
State
University
and graduated in May of 1992 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in
Communication. After taking three years off to discern God’s
direction in ministry, Dan attended Asbury Theological Seminary
in
Wilmore
,
KY
, where he received his Masters of Arts in
Youth Ministry
in May of 1997. Currently, Dan is attending
Columbia
International
University
, nearing completion of his Masters of Divinity
degree.
During the last 14 years of ministry, Dan’s time has
been spent primarily in youth ministry settings (volunteer
middle school worker, part-time youth director, youth intern,
full-time youth minister, and more). Over time that role has
expanded to include additional aspects of ministry including
community ministry, local and foreign missions, worship leading,
and church administration. Whether in a youth ministry setting,
on the mission field, or in a worship setting at church,
families capture Dan’s attention, realizing the incredible
blessings that come from spiritually healthy marriages and
families. Dan is also passionate about seeing churches work
together as a body of Christ, realizing that God is at work
beyond the four walls of the local church.
Dan is married to Shannon Nichols. They were married in August
of 1996 and have three children: Katelyn, Sarah Grace, and
Stephen. Other than Jesus, his family is his greatest
passion!
